Floor Party: takoyaki

Monday evening I had my very first floor party! ^_^

With other words: takoyaki (octopus dumplings) with all the units of my hall in the dorm. I was not really looking forward to octopus, but luckily we also made a sweet version with caramel and chocolate instead. And besides that, just a lot of sweets and chips. Gulp.

It was just a really nice evening talking, eating and some more talking. I really didn’t want to go back to my room in the end 🙂

ドライブ to Akizuki!

Akizuki, known for its colored leaves (紅葉) in autumn, turned out to have a perfect green scenery in spring. Two girls of my volleyball, Arisa and Madoka, picked me up by car on a sunny Sunday morning and we left for a ドライブ (doraibu , a trip by car). The place used to be a castle town so we went to see its remains.

Before arriving we already got hungry and followed the directions to a picturesque place in the mountains.

Tempura

Last week it was my first time going to a ‘real’ tempura restaurant! 😀 I don’t actually know what the standard is, but… well.. I really liked the whole concept and Aika, Chelsey and me had been saying for months that we had to go.

I don’t know if I wrote about this before, but I met Aika moooonths before at the volleyball. Oh, wait, I did!  So, I’ve known her from December and she is as bright, energetic and sweet as I thought the first time, or well, actually even more!
